Mon, 10 December 2007 Some of you might have wondered why there have been no new podcasts lately. In the two years that I have been doing this podcast, I have taken breaks on a regular basis. This is the longest time off that I have taken however and I thought that I would take a moment and try to explain why. My life is in transition right now. This year has been one of great change for me. I have decided to pursue a long time dream of mine to become a writer. This Spring, I will return to college full time for the first time in 20 years. It is my desire to enter the graduate program at the University of Southern Mississippi with the eventual goal of obtaining a PHD in fiction writing. I would like to teach at the college level and write the great American novel. I don't know if I will continue the podcast. I am going to take some more time and think it over. The past episodes will still be available for the foreseeable future. Thank you for your support. I will keep you posted. Have a blessed and safe holiday season. Merry Christmas! This legendary story teller and song writer has been an important part of the blues scene since 1951. SMMS is proud to bring you 42 minutes of Bobby Rush on this, our second anniversary. Be sure to check out Bobby's website: bobbyrush.net . With thanks to Bobby, Greg Preston and Kevin Byram...enjoy, my little taters, enjoy! rwComments[1] |
